Humans produce culture. Culture is in creations, actions, and destinies. Humans are unrepeatable, and everyone contributes something to life. One decorates and betters life, whereas the other destroys and demeans it. The moral duty of each generation is to enrich and safeguard culture. We transfer experience, wealth, moral principles, and ways of behavior. Devastation does not come out of the blues, but the destroyers of culture bring it about. Not all of them are illiterates and barbarians, while each of the tribe is a cannibal in soul.
Any human is never alone, for everyone is always among the others. Impossibility of a person without the others gives rise to individualism and collectivism whose extreme versions deteriorates personality. Desire for dominance in population, as well as comprehension of one's exclusivity and uniqueness, is the source of careerism, xenophobia, and misanthropy. The noble want of independence from circumstances leads often to hating the others, which ruins culture.
Volens nolens, but every human lives by example. The intellectual grandeur of Russia is due to the abundance of artefacts and servants of culture in the vast terrains of our homeland. Saint Petersburg is the center of the Russian culture. It is the city of Peter and Catherine the Great, Quarenghi and Rastrelli, Karamzin and Derzhavin, Pushkin and Dostoevsky, Akhmatova and Gumilev, Golitsyn and Krylov, Alexandrov and Smirnov.... Every Russian will continue this list with respect and a throbbing heart. That is why Saint Petersburg becomes the cultural capital of Russia.
