About the Conference

The conference is organized by the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics (Siberian Branch of RAS) and Novosibirsk State University under the sponsorship of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.

This is the 8th conference on discrete optimization and operations research in Siberia. The previous conferences were devoted to discrete analysis and operations research and took place in the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics, Novosibirsk in 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004. The 6th conference was on the Russian Far East in the pictureous place on the Japan Sea shore nearby Vladivostok in 2007. The 7th one was hold in Mountain Altay in 2010.

The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers in discrete optimization and operations research, exchange knowledge, identify promising research avenues and application domains, and foster new collaborations.
