July 17, 2019, will be the 90th birthday of Sergei Konstantinovich Godunov, one of the brightest scientists in computational mathematics. The Sobolev Institute of Mathematics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences jointly with Novosibirsk State University and the Department of Industry, Innovations and Entrepreneurship of the Mayor’s Office of Novosibirsk are organizing the International Conference “Mathematics and its Applications” dedicated to this event. The conference will be held in Novosibirsk, August 4-10, 2019.

The range of topics that are within the scope of the conference includes (but is not limited to): differential and difference equations, partial differential equations, equations of mathematical physics, mathematical modeling, difference schemes, computational methods of linear algebra, mathematical problems in continuum mechanics. The scientific program of the conference will include invited lectures (30 minutes), short communications (20 minutes including questions) and posters.
