The Institute of Discrete Mathematics and Informatics,
the Novosibirsk State University, and the
Sobolev Institute of Mathematics SB RAS
organize the traditional international "MAL'TSEV MEETING". The conference
will be held in Novosibirsk on November 21--23, 2001. One of the days of the
conference will be dedicated to the memory of A. I. Shirshov (1921-1981)
on occasion of his 80th birthday.
All mathematicians interested in algebra and mathematical
logic are invited to participate and contribute.
The Organising Committee includes the Academician
Yu. L. Ershov (chairman), the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of
Sciences S. S. Goncharov (vice-chairman). Professor A. S. Morozov
is the head of the local Organising Committee.
The conference sessions will be held in the
Sobolev Institute of Mathematics.
