Dear Colleagues!

The Organizing Committee invites You to take part in the international conference "Mal'tsev Meeting" which will be held in Novosibirsk, Russia, November 17-19, 1998. The conference is organized by the Siberian Foundation for Algebra and Logic, together with the Institute of Mathematics (Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences) and the Research Institute for Mathematical and Information Bases of Education (Novosibirsk State University). It will take place at the Institute of Mathematics.

Specialists in algebra, mathematical logic, and the related fields of mathematics are kindly invited to participate and to report on their recent advances. It is planned to reserve time for one-hour and half-an-hour plenary lectures and talks in four sections on Group Theory, Ring Theory, Model Theory and Universal Algebra, and Computability Theory.

Abstracts of talks (one page prepared in LaTeX) and the filled registration form should be sent to the Secretary by e-mail (preferably) or by the regular mail. The deadline is July 1, 1998. We will inform you about receiving your correspondence within 15 days.

Abstracts will not be published; but they will be placed on www-site of the conference.
