with international participation
14–16 September, 2007
Novosibirsk
First Announcement and Call for Papers
In September 2007 in Academgorodok, Novosibirsk, the celebration
of 50th anniversary of SB RAS and 50th anniversary of Sobolev Institute
of Mathematics will be held. On 17-21 September 2007 anniversary
conference “Mathematics in the modern world” will take place.
Within the framework of this anniversary on 14-16 September 2007
All-Russian conference with international participation “Knowledge-Ontology-Theory”
(KONT-07) will be held.
The conference is dedicated to the mathematical methods of data
presentation, data mining, construction of subject domains theories,
Formal Concept Analysis and also methods of information extraction
from natural language texts.
Conference topics reflect the main stages of knowledge process:
- Data collection and pre-processing. Measuring.
Accumulation of facts. Preliminary description forming. Creation
of empirical hypotheses.
- Discovering of regularities (knowledge), hidden
in structured and unstructured data. Machine learning. Pattern recognition.
Forecasting. Inductive reasoning (from numerical tables, signals,
images, natural language texts and so on.
- Systematization of knowledge. Knowledge engineering.
Creation of subject domain ontologies: technology, applications.
- Creation of subject domain theories. Formal Concept Analysis.
Logical semantics of natural language. Fuzzy logics. Description
of theory basic elements: axioms, hypotheses, general models, methods
of analysis and synthesis.
