Sobolev Institute of Mathematics

The Sobolev Institute of Mathematics was founded in 1957 by Academician S.L.Sobolev.
The Director of the institute is Academician M.M.Lavrent'ev.
The staff of the institute includes 470 persons of which 288 are researchers.
The staff of Institute includes 5 Academicians (Full Members of the RAS), 2 Corresponding Members of the RAS,
101 Doctors of Science (the Russian 'Doctor of Sciences' amounts to 'Full Professor' in the international nomenclature),
and 159 Candidates of Science (Ph.D.).
