Big Data has become a commonly used term to describe large volumes of data that are difficult to store, search, transfer, visualize, analyze and study. Efficient management and analysis of large scale data brings competitive advantages and unique capabilities. Today the technologies for semantic, conceptual processing of large data volumes become one of the most relevant trends as well as the technologies for automated knowledge generation based on large data sets.
The workshop aims to familiarize and to develop an exchange of experiences in the field of the semantic methods of knowledge engineering used for solving complex and large-scale tasks. The main focus of the workshop will be on the discussing the role and value of ideas, methods and algorithms of semantic modeling for solving the problem of knowledge and big data.
The date of the seminar is 2nd July 2019.
Seminar program
Accepted papers are intended to be published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library; the papers will be indexed in the Scopus and Web of Scince.
The fee for indexing papers limited to 6 pages is 3000 RUB. A charge of 1000 RUB will be applied for each extra page.
There is an opportunity to participate without a paper submission. If you participate without a paper submission, then no fee will be charged.
Paper abstract submission deadline: 31st May 2019.
Notification of essays acceptance date: 10th June 2019.
Paper submission deadline: 30th June 2019.
Papers will be accepted on the basis of the peer review.
Paper must be submitted in English. If you are not an English speaker, please use professional translation services.
Papers should strictly follow IEEE format (www.ieee.org/conferences/publishing/templates.html) and be limited to 6 pages. A charge of 1000 RUB will be applied for each extra page. To determine whether the papers are compatible with Xplore (and how to fix the files if they are not) please follow this link: [http://www.pdf-express.org/plus/] (using the 00000XP for the Conference ID). When you are happy with the PDF file, click on the «approve for collection» link.
Please take note that IEEE has a strict policy on No-Show. Therefore, if your paper is accepted, one of the authors and their representatives MUST PRESENT their paper at the conference. Papers with NO SHOW participants will not be submitted to IEEExplore.
Check the Abstract format: In order for an abstract to be effective when displayed in IEEE Xplore® as well as through indexing services such as Compendex, INSPEC, Medline, ProQuest, and Web of Science, it must be an accurate, stand-alone reflection of the contents of the article. It is important to state the primary objective, describe your research/design methodology and procedures you employed, the main outcomes and results, and the conclusions that might be drawn from these data and results.
In particular, check that it complies with the IEEE Xplore Abstract Format:
Plagiarism: Make sure that your paper is substantially different (less than 60% overlap) from (your) previously published work. Manuscripts will be checked for plagiarism and multiple publication using IEEE CrossCheck Portal (https://crosscheck.ieee.org).
The papers must be sent by e-mail semantic-workshop@math.nsc.ru, and also uploaded to the collection on the IEEE PDF eXpress (http://www.pdf-express.org/plus/).
